New Solar Powered Phone from Samsung – the E1107 Crest Solar

The Korean company, Samsung, presents new alternative energy solutions to power their mobile phones. Yesterday they unveiled the new low-end phone, the E1107 Crest Solar. The company presents its first commercial solar-powered phone before the awaited Blue Earth, also to use solar powering. It’s main attraction is, of course its large solar cell on the back cover capable of
increasing the talk-time from 5 to 10 minutes when exposed to 1 hour of sunlight. The phone, also known as “World’s First Solar Phone”, was introduced in the Indian markets under the name Samsung Guru 1107 and it is said to cost only $59.
Besides it’s 800mAh battery, the phone is equipped with a 1.52-inches 65K CSTN screen, an FM Radio, MP3 ringtones, the Torch, Mobile Tracker and Fake Call functions. The product will be found in the market shelfs starting this month.
