Solar charger for iPhone and Blackberry

With all this current hype about environmentally-friendly products, it seems that Apple, with their iPhone and the Blackberry phones have been left behind. Well, that is about to change. A company called Motion Touch, announced a new eco-friendly product called “Powcell”, a solar mobile phone charger which works for iPhone’s and Blackberry’s.

Powcell comes as a sleeve that is placed on the back of the mobile phone’s handset. The charger features a internal battery, which, even when away from the phone will continuously charge, using the solar panel. This will make “low battery” attentions a thing of the past, letting you make the those important calls, you could otherwise fail to achieve. Powcell has a fancy design and works towards phone completion, not disturbing any of the mobile phone’s features, but integrating perfectly with the handset.

Henry Powell, the Client Director of MotionTouch had this to say: “Dispensing with the need for plug-in chargers makes Powcell a ground-breaking eco-product. And the ability to provide power for that crucial call, even when your phone is flat, makes it an essential accessory. We are very excited to have been so involved in this unique product that could change the future of mobile technology.”

The product has not started to be constructed on a full scale, but even now it attracted some soundly companies, interested in this environmentally-friendly marvel.

“We’ve designed the Powcell sleeve to integrate seamlessly with the iPhone (News – Alert) 3G and the new 3GS. The unique design shines a light on the future of eco-friendly portable charging solutions. This exciting technology is completely transferable and can be adapted to suit almost all battery operated devices, which has attracted the attention of some of the world’s largest consumer electronic manufacturers,” noted the sales director of Powcell, Chris Simmons.
