Diabetes treatment with Teas made from Herbs

Diabetes mellitus is a very complex problem for many of us and solving this problem is also very difficult because involves much effort, a strict treatment and a strong will. Treatment of diabetes can not be reduced exclusively to phytotherapy. Diabetes treatment always involves radical measures and perseverance in adapting to disease conditions and to the entire lifestyle of affected patient. Apart from therapy with insulin or antidiabetics, I have to mention two very important factors, often unavoidable and strictly necessary to complet diabetes treatment: diet and physical activity.
What I really wanted to present in this post on MyGreenTreasure.com is related to phytotherapy, its role in treating diabetes, and some examples of very useful herbs. And as I have shown many times on my green blog, that nature has some secrets, these plants, especially tea made from these plants have useful effects. Now, I will present a list of the most useful plants in this kind of treatment:
Cranberry leaves and fruits (Myrtilli folium et fructus): You have to prepare an infusion with a tablespoon full of leaves to 1 cup of water. Drink 2-3 cups a day.
Bean pods (Phaseoli fructus sine seminibus): Prepare a decoction with 2 tablespoons of chopped bean pods to 1 cup of water. Drink 2-3 cups a day.
Chicory leaves and roots (Cichorii folium et radix): are recommended in diabetes diet. Researchers have shown that after a lunch that contains 200-300 grams of fresh roots cooked, glucose (blood sugar) decreases gradually (with 44% less).
Mulberry leaves (Mori folium): Prepare an infusion of 1-2 teaspoons of leaves in 1 cup of water.
Ciumara (Galegae herba): 2.4 grams of plant powder or 5-20g liquid extract per day.
Sage leaves (Salviae folium): Prepare an infusion of 1 teaspoon to 1 cup of water.
These are the most important plants used to treat diabetes. You can try to mix several types of these plants in an appropriate concentration, but my advice is to consult a doctor before doing so.

Very nice and informative post. I agree in using natural and home remedy treatment in prevention of diabetes. These are proven to be effective and inexpensive as well.
the standard for diabetes is Metformin but i also try to use alternative medicine in controlling diabetes. Alpha Lipoic Acid and Charantia seems to work well too against diabetes.
Diabetes today is mostly caused by a lifestyle that has less exercise and too much sugar. Diabetes can be easily avoided by just doing simple exercises each day like jogging and avoiding sugars. If you already have diabetes, exercise is still the best way to manage it. Food supplements like Charantia and Chromium also helps.
