No More Batteries – Eco-Friendly Dynamo/Solar Flashlight

If you plan to go on a trip or just hitch-hike and you get angry every time you think about taking the big, heavy flashlight to help you in the dark, this is good news for you. You no longer have to carry batteries in your backpack, because there is a “easier” solution to that.
I introduce the battery-free Dynamo/Solar Powerplus Barracuda LED flashlight. I know there are lots of energy efficient, eco-friendly torches and lanterns on the market today, but this particular one caught my eye because one important aspect: the flashlight combines two renewable energy sources, instead of usually only one.
Old flashlights are heavy and bulky. The idea of battery failure in the middle of the night, when strange sounds are heared is scary and always a concern, not to mention that batteries are a “special garbage” which has to dealt with separately. The today’s “free energy” eco-friendly flashlights solve all these problems. For example the Powerplus Barracuda can be powered either by winding of the dynamo handle or by the sun rays, through its solar panel.
The LED flashlight has three functions:
- Saving mode (1 LED in use)
- Power mode (3 LEDs)
- Flashing mode (3 LEDs)
You don’t even need a lot of time or energy to charge it: With only 1 minute of winding of the dynamo handle the flashlight will shine for 60 minutes(Power mode) or 110 minutes (Flashing mode) ! If feeling tired its better you leave the solar panel exposed for 1 hour in the sun and it will be functional for about 60 minutes (Power mode) or 140 minutes (Flashing mode). Lost something in the lake ? The flashlight is waterproof and it can resist water pressure even at 5 meters. And with the 3 ultra-bright LEDs, having a lifetime of more than 50,000 hours, the Powerplus Barracuda can be a life saver on emergencies, definitely handy and reliable and with a price of only £14.99 pretty cheap too.
