CO2 Emissions Could Generate Noise Pollution in the Oceans

Since CO2 emissions started to grow, researchers have begun to warn us of the seriousness of this process, using different scientific discoveries related to negative effects of carbon dioxide. Last days, some researchers at the University of Hawaii have discovered that along with the increasing level of CO2 emissions, increases the acidity of the oceans and seas too. When ocean acidity increases, sound-absorbing chemical reactions are reduced and that means the sound will spread in the water faster and noisier.

Audi Q5 Hybrid Will be Available in America Until 2011

When we talk about good cars, we always have to talk about all big German manufacturers, which continued throughout the years to launch on the market, effective and elegant cars. You may have noticed that in recent years, all the cars we know have started to “turn” into electric cars, hybrid cars or 100% environmentally friendly cars. The same thing happened in Germany, where almost all big companies have already launched on the market hybrid versions of their most popular cars. Mercedes launched few months ago the new hybrid model ML450 and now Audi announces the launch of the Q5 hybrid model which will appear on the market by the end of 2011.

AIRS – New Tool For CO2 Research Unveils Amazing Breakthroughs

NASA – the “National Aeronautics and Space Administration” developed a new tool for a better understanding of CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere, its movement and transport. The new device is called AIRS – “Atmospheric Infrared Sounder Instrument” and is placed on the NASA’s Aqua spacecraft. It takes daily measurements of concentration carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

The Fastest High-Speed Electric Train was Built in China

China is one of the countries that succed to amaze us daily with its new technological inventions. Chinesse researchers have succeedeed many times to achieve some notable performance more than American researchers performances for example. Few days ago China launched what they call “the fastest electric train in the world”, and it seems that this train is as they say, because it can reach a speed of 350km/h.

Kia Borrego FCEV – An Electric Vehicle Powered by Hydrogen Fuel Cells

We have already discussed often times on MyGreenTreasure about electric vehicles or vechicles powered by hydrogen fuel cells but we’ve never written about a car that is an electric vehicle and at the same time powered by hydrogen. Presonaly i didn’t knew about such a thing, but  recently I read on a specialized website about a new Kia model, which is actually a FCEV ( Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle).
