Dew Drop Artificial Leaf Water Plants Automatically
If you read other articles on MyGreenTreasure.com you may notice my attraction towards biological systems and especially towards plants and how they influence our lives. Growing plants around our homes and even inside our homes offers some very important advantages. Two of these advantages are: improving air quality and the unique design offered by various ornaments. Growing plants is not always an easy task, because the plants require special treatment depending on the species and on the location.
For example, if we want to grow plants indoor, we have to provide them good conditions for growth: light, heat and humidity. All three elements are very important (light-for photosynthesis,water-provide necessary nutrients for growth, etc.) and without these elements the plant can not grow.
To ensure conditions for a good growth, people have created over the years many irrigation devices. For example, in the image you can see an ingenious irrigation system, able to extract water from thin air to water plants. It was designed by Jacky Wu (industrial designer) and was nicknamed the Dew Drop. This intelligent irrigation system uses the principle of condensation, so all we have to do is to connect it to a wall plug. Water condenses on the artificial leaf and then is fed to the plants drop by drop. In this way the plant will be irrigated regularly and we will not have to take care only about the electricity bill
