The All-Electric Fiat 500 Was Unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show

Posted by Mircea on Tuesday, January 26, 2010

I’ve always thought that Fiat cars are actually some “smart” cars powered by small and efficient engines. On the road, these cars are proving to be very agile maintaining at the same time a low fuel consumption. I recently heard that Fiat have managed to make their cars to be even more efficient using some electric motors. They recently unveiled the all-electric variant of its iconic 500 at the Detroit Auto Show.

I also think that this zero-emission vehicle is a “mysterious” car because we don’t know yet too many details about its performances. However, we can see that the electric Fiat 500 is very much like the conventional model, but with some interior design differences. The usual gear was replaced with a push-button gear selector. The leather seats are also accented by five-point racing harnesses and generally I think that all materials used before were replaced with lighter materials to increase the efficiency of this new electric motor.

These are so cute. It looks better than the existing all smart electric hybrids of that size.
