The owner of the most popular search engine, Google, is trying to obtain a license to trade energy. Trough this action Google may optimize their energy consumption and at the same time they will use renewable energy, in the context of their policy about reducing carbon dioxide emissions. These licenses, started to be a daily practice nowadays, in order to buy power directly from manufacturers at the lowest cost.
I think this is a very succeessful policy because companies fail in this way to increase their income considerably and at the same time to promote an “green” image for their company. I think it just happens to Google that refused to specify wich is the company energy consumption, evoking Google policy.
