Honda recently announced that they will launch a new prototype that will revolutionize electric vehicles recharging process. It is about a solar hydrogen station prototype intended for home refueling. They say that with such a system your car will be easily refueled each night. If you think that something like that is impossible, Honda says that this project is actually very real and could be implemented around each house.

Honda Solar Hydrogen Station is compatible with a smart grid energy system and offers the opportunity to recharge a vehicle without storing hydrogen. As I said before, the station uses solar panels that can be used during the day to reduce electricity consumption your house. This solar hydrogen station was designed for a slow recharging, during the night for example, to lower carbon dioxide emissions. Honda also plans to install in urban areas a public network of fast-fill hydrogen stations, because the energy produced during a night, may not be enough for some drivers. The fast-fill public stations will need only 5 minutes to refuel a vehicle and this is due to an ingenious system composed of 48 solar panels producing 6kW of electricity.
