Algae could eliminate the need of using fossil fuels

I think we’ve all heard that algae can be used to produce biofuels. Marine biomass, could save each year significantly amounts of fossil fuel, but to ensure this,we need to know more about the usefulness and the efficiency of this “substance”. Researchers estimated that today there are between 200,000 and one million species of algae.
Extracting these lipids from algae, using an inexpensive and efficient technology, could lead people to use exclusively biofules in their cars. To convert this idea into a real project, scientists should identify all exploitable species and create optimal conditions for their development. Algae could be grown artificially, but until we have the necessary technology we’ll have to wait. It’s said that an area of only one acre, could produce a quantity of approximately 50,000 gallons of biofuel annually. This figures are satisfactory, and that’s why researchers are striving to find everything they need to know in implementing this technology.
