A significant breakthrough has been done by researchers at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology in Singapore. They discovered some classes of organic chemicals that can bind with CO2 molecules from the atmosphere to form a new kind of plastic that is BPA (bisphenol A) free.

Shweeb – The Bicycle On A Monorail

Shweeb is a interesting new concept, where you push your way in a capsule mounted on a monorail, using only the power of your feet. Built in late 2007 in Roterua, New Zealand, Shweeb is suspended about 4 meters in the air and is 200m  long.  To add more to the excitement, the designers thought it would be more fun if two persons could race one another, so they build two parallel monorails.

Solar charger for iPhone and Blackberry

With all this current hype about environmentally-friendly products, it seems that Apple, with their iPhone and the Blackberry phones have been left behind. Well, that is about to change. A company called Motion Touch, announced a new eco-friendly product called “Powcell”, a solar mobile phone charger which works for iPhone’s and Blackberry’s.
