LED Lightbulbs Save Considerable Energy

A new study states that LED lightbulbs consume far less energy than incandescent bulbs in their entire lifetime. The study was conducted by Osram, a big lightning company from Germany and has studied and inspected the entire life of a LED bulb, from manufacturing down to its removal, during which they measured the total energy consumption, as well as the gas emissions ejected during the whole procedure. They also accounted for major global warming threats in each process, like the acid rain potential, photochemical ozone creation, eutrophication or the pollution through the release toxic chemical materials.

LED-Flashlight without batteries – recharges in only 90 seconds

The company 5.11 Tactical, mostly known as a clothing manufacturer, gave last year the news that they build a highly technologized flashlight named “Light for Life”. The time has finally come the company set the product ready for selling and what this flashlight is capable of is pretty amazing.

The flashlight consists of 3 LED lights and requires  no conventional batteries but instead is equipped with a new technology called Flashpoint Power, which uses ultracapacitor energy storage systems to benefit the recharging process.
