The New Citroen C-Zero – Zero Emissions, 100% Electric

The new model from the french car manufacturer, Citroen, is the company’s second electric car, after the Berlingo van. Made in partnership with Mitsubishi, the new model earns its name from a number of aspects: it has zero fuel consumption, zero CO2 emissions and zero noise. Based on the earlier version of the Mitsubishi iMiev, the new car will be available as from late 2010 and it will be deprived of 5000 euros from the French government, as a bonus to buyers who pick environmentally-friendly models.
High-Energy Storage – Rechargeable Zinc-Air Batteries To Be Soon Available

Some recent developments have brought to life new technologies for building a more efficient battery. ReVolt, a Swiss company announced that they managed to develop a rechargeable zinc-air battery that can store, by volume, three times more energy than the common lithium-ion battery, but in the same time, reducing the costs by half.
Ultracapacitor Buses – More Greener And Cheaper

The search for more economical and fuel-efficient buses have led engineers from building hydrogen-fuel transit vehicles to hybrid-electric ones. But, as it turns out, the most environmentally-friendly and cheapest way to power buses proved to be the ultracapacitor buses. At least that is what a Chinese company, Shanghai Aowei Technology Development Company, and its partner for the U.S.A, Sinautec Automobile Technologies, states.
